March Updates

Hello everyone! I’m back, and you missed me, right?

(Probably not, I’m not even certain anybody reads this blog.)

So, I’m here with my my monthly updates!

March New Year’s Resolution:

Work on finishing my recital song

Every year, my piano teacher hosts a recital where everyone showcases a song they’ve learned that year. Sister is doing ‘Battle of the Fates’ from The Phantom Menace (Absolutely one of my favorite Star Wars songs, and movies), and I’ll be doing ‘All of Me’ by John Legend. I have about 8-9 pages to learn, but luckily we’ll be shortening it.

Challenges:

Minimalist Skin Care: This is a challenge to simplify your skincare routine. You DO NOT need to use a bunch of fancy creams, lotions, etc, unless, of course, you have a severe skin condition. But even then, there are holistic remedies. Anyway, the challenge consists of making a skincare routine for morning and evening (mine will most likely consist of a face wash and applying coconut oil, but here is a link to one of my friends’s blogs that lists her nightly skincare routine, and I might be using that to find some good products), drinking enough water, and making sure to keep things that touch your body/face clean, i.e., sheets, glasses, etc.

One Year Fanfiction Prompt Challenge: I actually write and post fanfiction (I may include the link sometime later, if people would like), so I created a challenge on Habitica that like-minded fanfiction writers could join. I list some one-word prompts for people to come up with an idea, or if they already have an idea, they can use that. Then, they have a year to work on their project. I used the prompt ‘Ring’, and I’m writing a Newsies fanfiction about Katherine and Jack getting married.

Reading Bingo 2020: Still ongoing!

Previous Challenge Results:

February Sewing Challenge: I realized how HORRENDOUS my finished product is, so I’m going to restart now that I have an idea how cross-stitch works.

Minimalist Tidy: I’m going to be honest here, I did not do well on that challenge. That’s why I decided to try the skin care challenge this month.

2020 Reading Bingo: I still have some squares yet, but I did a pretty good job last month!

March TBR:

  1. Climbing the Stairs by Padma Venkatraman
  2. False Awakening by Arianna Fox
  3. Ghosts of Greenglass House by Kate Milford
  4. The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis (the only Narnia book I haven’t read yet)
  5. A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare
  6. My big brother is obsessed with Calvin and Hobbes, so I’ll probably read one of those graphic novels
  7. Watership Down by Richard Addams (I love a book series called The Green Ember, and it’s very similar to this)
  8. ‘Letters’ by C.S. Lewis

Those are my updates! I hope you enjoy this post. I’ve been searching, and I know I’ve found a ‘Subscribe’ button somewhere on this blog, but I can’t find it. I will look and get back to you on that! I really want to hope that’s the reason nobody’s reading/commenting/subscribing to this blog, and not that it’s not enjoyable/nobody can find it. Be blessed!
